The most basic component that you need to do when building your team for startup is selling your vision and your business model to your core team. You need to understand that you cannot control people but if you win over them then you can guide them to do your work and complete the vision, which you have.
Remember you cannot force your opinion on to others, so to generate their interest in to your vision and become part of your vision you need to sell your vision. Yes there will be obstructions from them as they do not have the same process as yours and not the same thoughts so first aspect is to listen to them and address their concerns so that they can develop the sense in your vision.
The initial pitch will have questions which you may think what type of stupid questions they are asking but understand that they are giving their sincere criticisms in the process you may discover many areas which you would not have thought.
If you get too many against thoughts then it does not mean that you should give up the idea altogether, but should address the question and accommodate their thoughts this will ensure your idea and vision becomes much more clearer and transparent.
When once your vision is accepted then the next aspect is to distribute the responsibilities and task to core members as you alone cannot be present across and when you are distributing the task you need to keep in mind their strengths and weakness.
